This Holiday season we will begin a new tradition at RMHC Phoenix. The decoration of rooftops, walls, sidewalks and driveways of individual homes with luminaries is used as a way of guiding travelers to their destination. At our two Houses this southwest tradition of welcome will light up our walkways as symbols of comfort, hope and courage.

“There is no place like home for the holidays” However, many families of sick and injured children, will call the two Phoenix Ronald McDonald Houses in Phoenix “home” this holiday season.“The House that Love Built” meets the needs of the entire family by providing all the comforts of home. Most importantly, they receive support from other families that are facing similar challenges.

Your donation will help sponsor a family during their stay represented by the lighting of a luminary. This holiday season will be brighter with your support for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix.

During this season of giving, please consider a contribution in memory of someone special. You could give in honor of a family member, friend, teacher, boss, co-worker or loved one.

DON'T FORGET:

Under the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, also known as the Working Poor Tax Credit, households have the opportunity to reduce their direct tax liability by $400 for couple or $200 for an individual, when they give back to qualifying non-profits in the community.

When you make a contribution to RMHC, you not only benefit from a dollar-for dollar tax credit, but you help provide a "home away from home" for many families during a time when they need it most.

(This credit is in addition to those you can receive for private school tuition and public school extra curricular activities.  For questions concerning your tax credit please visit the Arizona Department of Revenue at www.revenue.state.az.us. Consult your tax advisor for details and advice on your specific situation.)
